This video is a brief instructional video on the breath exercise, or pranayama, called Nadi Chodhana, or alternate nostril breathing. The name means to cleanse the energy channels, and the exercise is said to also balance the two hemispheres of the brain, making it easier to access our clearest thinking and presence. It's a perfect breath exercise to use to prepare for anything that requires focus, such as meditation, music practice, writing, or any situation where you'd like to have access to both the left, more linear thinking brain, and the right, more free and creative side of the brain. This can be done anywhere, and at any time of the day, since it is a balancing practice. Enjoy!
